Alton Towers

Thorpe Park
THORPE PARK unleashes extreme
terror in 2009 with the hotly anticipated launch
of SAW - The Ride, the first ever horror movie
themed rollercoaster. The new coaster will test
the nerve of all who dare ride it by placing
them at the mercy of the film's master
manipulator, Jigsaw, to endure a 'beyond
vertical' drop of 100° from a terrifying height
of 100ft, as well as three death defying
inversions.
For the more extreme thrills, THORPE PARK is the
'must do' destination for adrenaline junkies!
Those who are brave enough can ride the 'Unholy
Trinity': allow yourself to be propelled from
0-80mph in less than 2 seconds to the
jaw-dropping height of 205 ft, as you experience
the might of Stealth; feel the heat of Nemesis
Inferno as you plunge into the fires of a
volcano at an incredible G-Force of 4.5; and if
your nerves are still intact, complete the
trinity on Colossus, the world's first
ten-looping rollercoaster.

Diggerland
Diggerland welcomes you to four sites: one at
Strood, Kent, one at
Langley Park, Co. Durham,
one at
Verbeer Manor, Cullompton, Devon and one
at Whitwood, near
Castleford in West Yorkshire.
Diggerland guarantees a fun filled, exciting,
action packed day out for kids and adults of all
ages.
Children and adults have the opportunity to ride
in, and drive, different types of construction
machinery including Dumper Trucks, Mini Diggers
and Giant Diggers.
There are great opportunities to take photos, or
learn about the workings of the machines from
the fully trained Instructors constantly on
hand. Diggerland is a day out with a difference:
not only can families learn about how these
diggers work, they can actually drive them, too!

rollercoaster.

newspaper. Maelstrom is the only gyro swing to
make you face outwards! Pandemonium turns your
world upside down!
And the incredible G-Force is a rollercoaster
ride like you’ve never had before! This £3
million ride takes terrified thrillseekers
through a series of high banked twists and turns
at speeds of up to 70 kph at 4.3 Gs, whilst
hanging by the hip!
There’s also a host of fantastic family
entertainment with Excalibur – a Dragon’s Tale,
the Pirate Adventure, Drayton Manor’s live
theatres - and the Drunken Barrels is fantastic
new fun for all the family! Thomas Land is
packed with rides just for younger children.
Drayton Manor Zoo is home to over a hundred
species from throughout the world – plus
Dinosaurland, museums, shops, cafes, bars and
restaurants – and much more! It’s a fantastic
